  • How to register (new user)

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Select Language(English or Swahili)
    3. Select the self registration option
    4. Enter account number
    5. Press 1 to accept Terms and Conditions 
    6. Enter date of birth details as requested
    7. Enter card number digits as requested
    8. Enter debit card’s expiry date 
    9. Receive confirmation screen of successful registration
    10. Temporary mobile banking pin will be sent to your device via SMS
  • How to change PIN

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Select 1 for "Forgot PIN"
    3. Input "1" to continue
    4. Input your account number and other personal details as requested(details pertaining to your date of birth and debit card details) 
    5. Input the new PIN and confirm.
    6. Your PIN is successfully changed.
  • How to request a statement

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Select Banking services
    3. Select Mini statement
    4. Select Account number
    5. Account mini statement details are displayed
  • How to use M-wallet

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Enter PIN
    3. Select the ‘M-Wallet’ option from list
    4. Select Funds Transfer to "Airtel Money" or "MTN Mobile Money"
    5. Select if you are sending money to your own number or another number
    6. Select option 3: New Beneficiary
    7. Select the Mobile Money Operator
    8. Input beneficiary mobile number
    9. Press 1 to confirm
  • How to buy electricity

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Enter PIN
    3. Select option 2: Pay bills
    4. Select register a biller
    5. Select the biller(Input ## to view the next screen of billers)
    6. Enter meter number
    7. Enter biller nick name
    8. Press 1 to confirm
    9. You will see a confirmation screen
  • How to do an Absa to Absa transfer

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Enter PIN
    3. Select option 3: Funds transfer
    4. Select register beneficiary 
    5. Select Absa account
    6. Enter beneficiary account number
    7. Enter beneficiary nick name
    8. Press 1 to confirm
    9. You will se a confirmation screen
  • How to top up airtime

    For your own number:

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Enter PIN
    3. Select option 6: Buy Airtime Top up
    4. Select operator (Airtel/MTN/Africell/UTL)
    5. Select to  purchase airtime for your number
    6. Select if it's a one-time/first-time transaction or to an existing beneficiary
    7. Enter the mobile number if it's a one-time transaction
    8. Enter airtime amount
    9. Select the transaction Account
    10. Press 1 to confirm details
    11. You will see a confirmation screen

     

    For another number:

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Enter PIN
    3. Select option 6: Buy Airtime Top up
    4. Select operator (Airtel/MTN/Africell/UTL)
    5. Select to purchase airtime for Other Number
    6. Select if it's a one-time/first-time transaction or to an existing beneficiary
    7. Enter the mobile number if it's a one-time transaction
    8. Enter airtime amount
    9. Select the transaction Account
    10. Press 1 to confirm details
    11. You will see a confirmation screen
  • How to CashSend

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Select the ‘Cash Send’ option from list
    3. Enter beneficiary mobile number
    4. Input the amount
    5. Create a 4-digit custom PIN for the transaction
    6. Confirm the 4-digit PIN created at step 5 by re-entering it
    7. Confirm the transaction, and receive a confirmation note of the transaction. An SMS will be sent to the number with the details of the CashSend purchase.
    8. Send the PIN separately to the recipient for security reasons
  • How to transfer to mobile wallet

    1. Dial *233#
    2. Select the ‘M-Wallet’ option from list
    3. Select Funds Transfer to "Airtel Money" or "MTN Mobile Money"
    4. Select if you are sending money to your own number or another number
    5. Select if this is a one-off transfer or a transfer to an existing beneficiary
    6. Input the customer mobile number
    7. Input the transaction amount
    8. Select the account to be debited
    9. Press 1 to confirm the transaction
